Luxury has celebrated the model for decades. It has rarely been built for her.
AVR was founded by model Aisha Van Raemdonck after one problem kept repeating throughout her career: beautiful garments rarely fit exceptional proportions. During Berlin Fashion Week, a delayed suitcase forced an emergency search for jeans before a casting. Store after store, the answer was the same — the waist without the length, the length without the waist, and never a cut that followed a feminine curve.
That afternoon revealed a gap the industry had learned to ignore. Not a rare body — a common one, priced out of fit. AVR exists to close that gap: a European luxury house built on precision fit, considered craftsmanship, and a founder who has lived the problem from inside the industry it serves.
"We don't design around averages. We design around individuals."

II.The Founder
Aisha Van Raemdonck
Founder & Creative Director
A working model, Aisha has spent her career inside the industry AVR is built for — fittings, castings, and runways across Europe. She leads the house as creative director: setting the design vision, the fit standard, and the brand world, alongside senior technical pattern-makers who translate that vision into production.
She is the customer, the founder, and the proof of concept in one person — the AVR fit is drafted first on the proportions the industry never cut for.

III.The Problem
The hidden sizes
Denim is sold on a grid of waists and lengths — but brands only manufacture the middle of it. Small waists never come in long lengths. Long lengths never come in curved cuts. Millions of women live in the empty cells of that grid. AVR calls these the hidden sizes: proportions that exist in reality but are rarely produced.
A typical premium size run
Waist 20–40 × Length 30–40
Coverage clusters around average proportions. A 24 waist in a 36 length — Aisha's size — is almost never cut.
The AVR size run
Every waist · Every length · Every cut
The full grid, engineered on a feminine block — with lengths cut to order beyond the core run. Hidden sizes, without hidden inventory.

IV.The AVR Atelier Fit™
Fit studies from the atelier
The Atelier Fit™ is AVR's proprietary design philosophy: waist and inseam decoupled from the standard grid, patterns drafted on a curved feminine block — nipped waist, real hip spring, length that finishes the line of the leg instead of cutting it short. Drawn first in the founder's own notebook; drafted here as fit studies.

The signature pocket — from the founder's sketchbook. An inverted triangle that is the monogram itself: A and R at the corners, V at the point, so every back pocket quietly spells the house. The top edge is the opening — finished plain-stitched on core pairs, or closed with gold clasps on elevated pieces — set in double-needle stitch, with brass hardware cast for AVR.
The hidden release hem. Every pair carries its extra length inside: the hem is folded inward over a fully finished, concealed edge — invisible from the outside, immaculate if you never touch it. Unpick the release stitch at home and the hem drops instantly, already finished, no tailor required. An AVR seam ripper ships in every pair — because a hidden size should never have to wait for alterations.
Nine cuts, four shades, waists 20 through 40, lengths 30 through 40 — a size run in the hundreds, where most brands carry a few dozen. All of it from a deliberately tight design vocabulary: the range lives in the fit, not in novelty.

VI.The Market
A $90-billion category that still can't fit a small waist to a long leg

Launched from the casting line
The Casting Seed
The industry uniform for castings is jeans and a top. AVR seeds pairs directly to working models during fashion weeks — Paris, Milan, Berlin, Amsterdam — turning every casting line into a live runway and every model into proof the fit exists. Campaign: "When the jeans fit, a model is born."
The Capsule Drop
A limited first run sold direct-to-consumer, anchored in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium — the markets where length sells fastest — with worldwide shipping from day one.
Made-to-Length
Beyond the core run, lengths are cut to order — and every pair carries the hidden release hem for instant extra length at home, no tailor. Every hidden size, without hidden inventory; accessible pricing, atelier logic.
Selective Wholesale
Entry into a small number of luxury retailers once the fit story is established — protecting price, scarcity, and the house's positioning above trend-led competitors like 7 For All Mankind and Diesel.
